Terms of Service
Last updated: 3 September 2026
These terms are a contract between you and the operator of p2bay.com ("P2Bay", "we", "us"). They govern your use of p2bay.com and everything on it.
You can reach us at support@p2bay.com, or through the support section of your account.
By creating an account or using the site you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the site.
1. What P2Bay is
P2Bay is a venue. Users list game-related digital goods and services, other users buy them, and we hold the payment until the buyer confirms delivery.
We are not a party to the trade. The contract for a purchase is between the buyer and the seller. We do not own, produce, inspect or take possession of what is sold. What we provide is the marketplace, the escrow arrangement described in §6, and the dispute process in §9.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18, or the age of majority where you live if that is higher. You must not be subject to sanctions, and you must not be barred from these services under the law that applies to you.
One person, one account, unless we agree otherwise in writing.
3. Your account
You are responsible for what happens under your account, including anything done by someone you gave access to. Keep your password to yourself and tell us promptly at support@p2bay.com if you think somebody else has it.
Usernames cannot be changed once set — buyers and sellers rely on them to identify who they dealt with.
Information you give us must be accurate, and you must keep it accurate.
4. What may be sold — and the risk that comes with it
Sellers may list game currency, in-game items, accounts, keys, top-ups and player services, in the categories the site offers.
Read this paragraph before you sell anything. Most game publishers prohibit selling accounts, currency or items for real money in their own terms and end user licence agreements. Listing something here does not mean the publisher permits it. A publisher may ban an account, reclaim currency or items, or close a service at any time, and they will not be doing anything wrong under their own rules when they do.
That risk sits with the buyer and the seller, not with P2Bay. By listing, you confirm you have the right to sell what you are selling and that doing so does not breach anybody else's terms. By buying, you accept that what you buy may be affected by publisher action we have no control over and cannot reverse.
You may not list, and we may remove without notice:
- anything obtained by hacking, phishing, account theft, fraud, chargeback or a stolen payment method
- anything you do not own or have no right to sell
- cheats, exploits, botting software or anything designed to break a game
- anything illegal where you are, where the buyer is, or where we are
- anything outside the categories the site offers
5. Listings
Your listing must accurately describe what is being sold, including anything a reasonable buyer would want to know. You are responsible for its accuracy and for delivering exactly what it promised.
We may edit, hide, pause or remove a listing, and may require listings to be reviewed before they appear. Where review is required, it is a check against these terms and not an endorsement, a valuation, or a promise that the goods are as described.
6. Payments, your balance and escrow
The site operates in euro (EUR).
Your balance is not a bank account. Funds shown in your P2Bay wallet are an amount we owe you in connection with your use of the marketplace. They are not a deposit, they are not protected by any deposit guarantee scheme, and they earn no interest.
How a purchase works. When you buy, the full amount leaves your balance and is held by us. It is not the seller's money yet. It is released to the seller when you confirm delivery, when the confirmation window elapses without you raising a dispute, or when we resolve a dispute in the seller's favour. It returns to you if the order is cancelled or refunded, or if we resolve a dispute in your favour.
The confirmation window is shown on every order, and its current length is displayed on the order page and in the help centre. When it elapses without a dispute, the order completes automatically and the money is released.
Topping up. You may add funds by the methods shown at checkout. Crypto payments are credited when the network confirms them, not when they are sent. If you send a different amount than the invoice asked for, we credit what actually settled; if you underpay, the invoice stays open and nothing is credited until it completes.
Card payments can be reversed by your bank months later. If a deposit is charged back after you have spent it, you owe us that amount, and we may take it from your balance, refuse further service, or recover it as a debt.
7. Fees
We charge a commission on each sale, deducted from the seller's proceeds, and may charge a service fee to the buyer, shown before you pay.
The current rates are displayed on every listing and in the order summary before you commit, and the seller's net is shown on the listing form. We may change them; a change never applies to an order already placed.
Some accounts hold a membership or partner status that changes what they pay. Those benefits are described on the relevant page and may be varied or withdrawn in line with §17.
8. Delivery, confirmation and cancellation
Sellers must deliver within the time their listing states. Where delivery is automatic, it happens on payment. Where it is manual, it happens through the order chat.
Buyers should confirm as soon as they have checked what they received. If a seller misses their stated deadline, the buyer may cancel and be refunded.
Digital goods and the right to cancel. Where you would otherwise have a statutory right to cancel a distance contract, that right is lost once delivery of digital content has begun with your agreement — which is what placing an order and accepting immediate delivery means here. This does not affect your rights where what you received was not as described, and it does not affect the dispute process in §9.
9. Disputes
If something is wrong, raise it on the order before the confirmation window closes. The buyer and seller should try to settle it in the order chat first; most things are resolved there.
If they cannot, either party may open a dispute and P2Bay will decide it. We may ask both sides for evidence, and we will look at the order, the listing as it was at the time, and the conversation.
We may resolve a dispute by releasing the money to the seller, refunding the buyer, or splitting it between them. Where we split it, commission is charged only on the seller's share. Our decision is final as far as the escrowed funds are concerned — that is what makes escrow work — and it does not stop either of you pursuing the other through any route the law gives you.
We are deciding where the held money goes. We are not deciding who is right in law, and we are not acting as an arbitrator, an ombudsman or a court.
10. Withdrawals
Sellers may withdraw available balance to a supported destination. There is a minimum, shown on the withdrawal form.
Crypto withdrawals cannot be reversed. You choose the coin, the network and the address. An address that is valid but on the wrong network destroys the funds permanently, and nobody — not us, not the network — can recover them. Check it before you submit.
We may hold, decline or reverse a withdrawal where there is an open dispute, where an order is still inside its confirmation window, where we suspect fraud or a breach of these terms, or where we are required to.
Withdrawals are sent by us manually. We do not commit to a timescale.
11. Identity verification
We may require you to verify your identity before withdrawing, and we will always require it above a threshold shown on the verification page.
Documents you submit are stored privately, every access is logged, and they are deleted after the retention period stated on that page once a decision is made. We keep the decision, not the images. See our Privacy Policy.
12. Keep trades on the platform
Arranging or completing a trade off-platform is not allowed. It removes escrow, it removes the dispute process, and it is how people get robbed — the protection you are paying for only exists while the money is with us.
You must not use the site to solicit off-platform contact for a trade, and we filter messages for attempts to do so. We may hold, block or review messages, and we may suspend accounts that do this.
If you trade off-platform, you do so entirely at your own risk and we can do nothing for you.
13. Things you must not do
Do not: use another person's payment method or account; create accounts to evade a suspension; manipulate ratings, reviews or accolades, including by trading with yourself; use bots or scrapers against the site; interfere with the site's operation or security; harass or abuse anyone; or use P2Bay to launder money or to move the proceeds of crime.
14. What you post
You keep ownership of what you post — listings, images, messages, reviews, forum posts, tournament entries. You give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display and distribute it for the purpose of operating and promoting the marketplace.
You must have the right to post it. We may remove content, and may hide rather than delete it where it is evidence in a dispute.
Reviews must reflect a genuine transaction.
15. Tournaments
We and, where enabled, other users may run tournaments.
Entry is always free. We do not accept entry fees, and a tournament may never require you to buy anything — including the host's listing — in order to enter. Where a seller funds a prize pool, the money is held by us and paid out on the results. Placements are decided by P2Bay staff, not by the host.
Prizes are credited to your P2Bay balance.
16. Suspension and closure
You may close your account at any time. If you do, you remain responsible for orders already in progress, and you may withdraw any available balance subject to §10 and §11.
We may suspend or close your account, remove listings, and withhold funds where we reasonably believe you have breached these terms, where there is fraud or a credible risk of it, or where we are required to. Where we do, we will tell you why unless the law prevents us.
Suspending a seller pauses their listings. Funds legitimately owed to you remain yours and will be released once any investigation and any open orders are concluded.
17. Changes
We may change these terms. Where a change materially affects you we will give notice on the site or by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use P2Bay after that means you accept the change. If you do not, close your account.
We may change, suspend or withdraw features. We will not change the terms of an order already placed.
18. Our responsibility to you
We provide the marketplace with reasonable care and skill. We do not promise it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any listing, seller or buyer is trustworthy.
We are not responsible for the goods or services traded here, for whether they are as described, for whether a publisher permits the sale, or for what a publisher does to an account afterwards.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited — including, where you are a consumer, your statutory rights.
Subject to that, our total liability to you in connection with these terms is limited to the greater of (a) the fees we earned on the transactions giving rise to the claim and (b) EUR 100, and we are not liable for lost profits, lost opportunity, lost data, or losses we could not reasonably have foreseen.
19. Law and disputes with us
These terms are governed by the law of the country in which P2Bay is established, and its courts have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory law of the country where you live, and you may bring proceedings there — and you may bring proceedings in your own local courts.
If any part of these terms is unenforceable, the rest continues to apply.
